Sport

Sport operates within an increasingly complex legal and regulatory environment. Bev accepts instructions in sports law, with a particular focus on disciplinary and regulatory proceedings, athlete representation, governance and disputes involving sporting bodies.

Bev has been appointed to the England Boxing Disciplinary Panel for a three-year term from October 2026. The Panel appointment complements her developing sports law practice and her particular interest in disciplinary procedure, fair decision-making and the regulatory structures governing sport.

She is available to advise and represent athletes, clubs, governing bodies and other participants in sport, including in relation to disciplinary charges and hearings, regulatory investigations, appeals and challenges to decisions, eligibility and participation issues, governance and the interpretation and application of sporting rules.

Where a matter also raises competition law issues, Bev offers the additional benefit of specialist expertise in competition law in sport, including restrictions on participation, governing-body rules, abuse of dominance, anti-competitive agreements and competition litigation.
